Dr. Alben completed both MBBS and MD in Pharmacology from St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru and served as faculty from November 2004 to August 2015
He holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical trials from the London school of hygiene and tropical medicine, University of London
During his tenure at St. John’s Medical College, Dr. Alben was a member of the international steering committee for designing global and multicenter phase 3 clinical trials. He also did regulatory, contracts, and budgets for the division of clinical research and training. He did grants management liaising with central finance and senior administration apart from teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Currently he leads a team of 20 members at Narayana Health He is an expert in regulatory affairs, research methods, biostatistics and provides support for budget and contracts in clinical trials. He trains, mentors, and guides students doing fellowship, Ph.D. and clinical residency. He nurtures a clinical research culture and networks with different stakeholders to increase research output in his institution.
As a consultant he provides clinical immersion for MedTech innovators and creates a platform for entrepreneurs in the healthcare startup industry.
Dr. Alben teaches international MPH courses offered by Euclid University on their Learning Management Software. He is an international faculty, an Associate Professor in Public Health since April 2013 in Euclid University.
Dr. Alben Sigamani is a teacher, clinical researcher, clinical pharmacologist, clinical trial expert, and clinical epidemiologist.
