Dr. Alben completed both MBBS and MD in Pharmacology from St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru and served as faculty from November 2004 to August 2015.

He holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical trials from the London school of hygiene and tropical medicine, University of London.

During his tenure at St. John’s Medical College, Dr. Alben was a member of the international steering committee for designing global and multicenter phase 3 clinical trials. He also did regulatory, contracts, and budgets for the division of clinical research and training. He did grants management liaising with central finance and senior administration apart from teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
